The set up of a strategy in chest physiotherapy and the choice of a technique depends on the appreciation of various clinical signs, under which auscultation is the principal tool. And yet the majority of schools and universities don't provide sufficient teaching in auscultation. We demonstrate here that a precise auscultation, based on an objective nomenclature helps the choice making of a technique and the evaluation of an accomplished task.
